"355ml bottle
5.3% ABV
I tried this beer on November 19, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a clouded golden-orange into the glass with almost no head whatsoever. Effervescence was on display. The aroma was sour, and musty. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied, with medium-carbonation....although that may have been lost in the pucker. The flavour was malty with some possible green apple hints. Very tart. Definitely worth trying."

"My first and probably last gueuze, i flat out didnt like this stuff. It smelled like a old sneaker, tasted incredibly sour, and had a foul aftertaste. My palate is not used to this, nor will it be. It was rather nice looking however, it poured a hazy gloden yellow with a nice head and lots of bubbles. "

"My first Gueuze in some time and when I saw this today I figured I would pick a bottle up. Aroma on this brew is sweet and tart with some fruity nuiance and maybe Brett as well as some tannin with some funk and is very effervescent. Appearance is a golden yellow in color with a massive head on top that is ever expanding and a bleach-white in color and creamy. Mouthfeel is light-bodied and spritzy with complexity of tartness as well as sour balance with a palate that is crisp, sharp, and clean and better than expected. Flavor is of sourness as well as extreme tartness with some brett and an aftertaste that is funky and farmhouse-like with a finish that is full of tannins and is dry-like. Overall, I am impressed with this brew for sure and probably the best from this brewer stylistically speaking and well worth searching out and finding and I already want more; tremendous effort here and truly is the Grand Cru of Lindemans...Recommended!! "750ml bottle, dated 2006. Pours a light golden yellow with a thin white head that quickly diminishes to a thin collar.
The aroma is old funky yeast and some fruitiness.
The flavor is mostly sweet sparkling cider and lots of apple jolly ranchers with a little wood and yeast. The mouthfeel is medium with sharp carbonation.
Overall, this tastes a lot more like a sparkling cider or champagne than a beer. I was expecting a lot more traditional sourness - this was very sweet and alco-poppy."

"This beer pours with quite a big head, lacing is also very good... Lots of different aroma's, citrus, funk, fruit... Taste is refreshing and twangy, lots of flavours lie in the depths of this brew... A Great Gueuze for sure.. but split the 750ml bottle with another person!"
