"Your basic swill here. What can I say that has not already been said. Pale yellow lager with no head. Smells and tastes of corn. Sour finish. Not good. Just not good."

"Sampled on 4/6/2009. This Pale lager pours a light yellow color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized wispy white foamy head, no retention and no lacing. The aroma is cereal, corn, cereal and grainy. A light to medium bodied Pale Lager. The malts are cereal and grainy. The hops are (sorry what hops) are spicy. Lively carbonation. Its sweet, thin and watery, has a aftertaste that is somewhere between cardboard and wet dog. Yup it tastes just like I recall the old Lone Star Beer I had in San Antonio years ago, in which all I can say it was better than Pearl. Actually it’s a fairly typical Macro Pale Lager. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. "

"if you're review starts "as long as it's (blank) it's not too bad"...it's BAD. if your beer needs to be near freezing to be drinkable, why are you bothering? this beer falls solidly into that catergory."

"As long as its cold, it's not too bad. It actually goes down smooth and is great with cookouts and spicy food. Don't expect all the frilly stuff - head, lacing, etc. It just ain't there, but that's not what this beer is all about."

""the National Beer of Texas" actually it does make sense--TEXAS is a whole other country... This one of the beers I grew up on in West Texas. Cheap, out of the bottle, and cold it is sentimentally speaking drinkable. Not bad with BBQ and deep fried jalepeno stix."
