"Hazy, golden color with a huge white head; could easily pass itself off as a weiss if put in the proper glassware. Aroma starts off with hay and grassy notes - the malts and a light flowery hop aroma come in later. Flavor is aggressively yeasty then leans back and wallops you with big malts and closes with big hops. It's hard to determine which aspect stands out the most - they are all equally in your face. Surprisingly the ABV doesn't come out in this way - perhaps it's the one kneeling down behind you while the other 3 are distracting you getting ready to push. Next thing you know the bottle is empty and you are on your backside. The aftertaste features the hops and a bit of the yeasts. Mouthfeel is a bit chalky. Overall good beer, but I like the other brews in their line a bit better. "

"9.0% as Malheur Cuvee Royale Brut Reserve. Golden colour, huge white creamy head. Aroma of fruits, barnyard and sugar. Flavour is barnyardish, soapy and fruity. Dry alcohol in finish. About beerstyle I think it was more like saison meets lager and wheat beer than strong ale... "
