Seasonal - November to January.
Taking its name from the title given to Sudbury by Dickens in Pickwick Papers, this is a winter ale of deep red and brown hue. It has a well balanced fruit and malt plus a slight sweetness on the palate ending in a pleasant roast bitterness.

"Dark brown with a creamy light brown head. Loads of diacetyl in aroma with notes of white chocolate and cocoa. Buttery flavour, hints of coffee beans and vanilla. Medium bitter finish of coffee and cocoa with a disturbing diacetyl note. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel."
