A deeply flavoured oat stout, one of the blackest beers around with a remarkable amount of flavour.

"Cask at the Swan in the Rushes, Loughborough. Black with a creamy tan head. Aroma is great; fruit, coffee, roast malts. Taste is even better, coffee, vanilla ice cream, roast malts and more. I consider this to be a porter (like Sigmund). Best new (to me) dark cask beer I’ve tried for a long time."

"Cask conditioned at the St. Radegund pub, Cambridge. Dark, nearly black colour. Fruity (plums) and some smoke in the aroma and flavour. Decent. More like a porter than a stout in my book, but who cares?"
