"Recently found this brew and it seemed interesting enough so I picked it up. Also, the bottle cap had a strange plastic plug on it that was like an artificial cork which I have never seen; pretty cool. Aroma is tart and sweet with some sourness and remind me of a kriek lambic in some respect with some nice caramelized sugar on the nose and Belgian malt with some tart cherries. Appearance is a reddish-burgundy in color with some haze when held to the light with a very even and smooth, creamy head that is light-tan in color and remains leaving nice lacing on the glass. Mouthfeel seems complex enough and origin with some interesting balance with a palate that is creamy and smooth as well as well-rounded. Flavor is tart with some sweetness as well as some sour notes with dark cherries coming through as well as some Belgian yeast and candy sugar with an aftertaste that fruity and a tad cloying in the sweet department with a finish that is a tad spicey but good and sweet. Overall, quality Belgian strong ale here for sure but not world class or pretentious but good and worth trying but not at the price tag it is sold at. "

"Sampled at the North Park Belgian Beer Party at my house on 3-29-08. Pours with a clear amber body topped by a thin to medium thick head with some lacing. It’s sweet and malty with an underlying bitterness and a touch of spice. Medium bodied, slightly tingly on the tongue and a bit warming."

"Pours a large, white head with a dark, hazy ruby body. There is a slight cherry like fruitiness along with the mellow malt. A good drinking beer, but not super exciting."
