With us, the art of brewing is a craft - not an industry. Therefore all our beers are brewed and bottled by hand. Our beer is alive - not killed by filtration or pasteurization. Therefore every single bottle has been allowed to produce its own CO2 pressure. This process renders great qualitative properties, like a good cellaring capacity and a great flavour potential. The yeast at the bottom of the bottle is a result of this. Some types of beer should be served with this yeast. In that case the bottle should be turned upside down a few times, for the yeast to mix in the beer. If one wishes the yeast to be left in the bottle, the bottle should be treated with care - preferably to stand upright for 1 week before serving. Pour carefully, preferably in one pour. This beer should be stored dark and at temperatures lower than +15 C. We recommend +8-12 C for development of the flavour potential of the beer. At fridge temperature this development stagnates.

"Aroma is not strong, but malty and yeasty with an undertone of miso (a salty Japanese seaweed-based flavoring). Color is a rich dark chocolate brown with a fairly thick pale beige head. Flavor is malty with just a hint of hops and salt. Texture is smooth and just a little thin, but still pleasant and satisfying.
Congratulations Red Wings!!!"

"Quite a suprise. It's not quite what I was expecting when I smelled and tasted it the first time. Like Drakes Hoppy Ass Brown, this is a bit of a departure from the style..and it's welcomed. The beer is a deep mahogany brown color, hazy with a nice off-white head. Aroma is caramel, some roated malts, a touch of woody smoke, caramel and brown sugar. Flavors were very earthy with the hops and malts creating a woody/peaty/earthy flavor. Slightly roasted malts with a medium bitter finish. Brown ales might lose the boring connotation if there were more made like this beauty."

"Pours dark brown w/ a tall, semi creamy froth. Good hangtime reducing to a lasting spattered canopy. Aromas of dark chocolate and molases. Medium nectar w/ good carbonation creating a soft texture. Dry yet wet w/ a mild bitter souring component. Moderately roasted with the flavor spotlight on bakers cocoa. Other nuances of roasted coffee and nuts. The finish is bittered brightly w/ roasted nut shells. A refined brew showing the style well. "

"Thanks to pan for this one. It pours a clear dark brown color with a mld aroma of roasted nuts. Light bodied with a tangy finish, it's pretty decent. "

"This brown ale pours a deep black color from a 500ml bottle. Medium sized tan foamy head. Aroma is nutty, roasty and sweet. A medium bodied Brown Ale. Malts are nutty, caramel, slightly roasty and sweet. Hops are earthy and floral. Very lively carbonation. Nice balance. A very drinkable brown ale, not as sweet as one would expect, though. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Very nice. Aftertaste is slightly bitter."
