Sunshine Wheat is a great beer for trouncing thirst. Yet, it has a depth of character that inspires a quiet moment’s reflection. Sunshine Wheat swirls in the mouth with ripples of coriander and orange peel tartness, settling nicely into a tranquil sea of apple and honey tones. A filtered wheat beer, Sunshine offers a crisp, refreshing alternative to heavier-bodied heffe-weizens.
Recommended food pairings with Sunshine include; mussels steamed in Sunshine Wheat, Thai coconut green curry, and spicy chili rellenos (or anything else with cilantro for that matter).
Unlike German Wheat Beers, Sunshine Wheat needs no lemon wedge to bring out its citrus bouquet. If anything, a fresh orange slice buddies up well to the coriander and orange peel within. Fruit kabob or not, be sure to pour Sunshine Wheat into a clear glass that exposes its silky pale golden color which seems to beckon, “forget the half-finished lawn, kill the mower and come hither overworked one.”

"Just found this at the local Hy-Vee for the first time in the area. Pours a golden yellow with a light white head. Smell of wheat and citrus. Goes down pretty easy. Enjoyable beer!"

"my favorite thing about this was the aroma, after pouring it I was reminded of fruit loops cereal, which i used to love. However that was the highlight, Average yellow body with thin head, except for a very slight citrus taste it was bland and watery. i will give this another shot in a few weeks because N.B. is a good company and deserves another try. "Pours a clear gold color, barely any haziness. Thin head with little lacing. Citrus aroma. Light, but not watery mouthfeel. Crisp, clean taste. A good summer beer, but available all year."

"Pours bright yellow (hence Sunshine) with average white head and excellent lace. Aroma of hops, wheatiness , orange/citrus, and mild spice. Mouthfeel is smooth, some zestiness, and not heavy nor weak. Crisp flavor of light malts, some hops, citrus, and the spice. This is an excellent summer beer."
