You hold the marriage of wine and beer. Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This ale is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, balanced by hops we aged in our brewery one full year, and then aged in oak vats.
Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this ale uniquely "Wisconsin." So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this ale to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and boquet. Serve your friends Belgian Red in a brandy snifer or champagne flute and toast life with ale from the land of Wisconsin.

"Aroma of tart, ripe cherries, but not overly so. Rocky, one-finger head with nice lacing. Smooth, medium-bodied and slightly over-carbonated. Flavor of tart cherries and a slightly dry, cherry aftertaste (similar to flavored tonic water). A great fruit beer that I'd like to try again."

"Top of the food chain in the realm of fruit beers, this bottle did more than impress. Cherries are the main attraction and they are showcased to the best of their potential. Lively appearance with a beautiful read body, tight carbonation and a fizzy amber tinted tan head as well as some spotty lacing. Cherries, vanilla and dry wheat abound in a fruit forward treat. Great for relaxing with after a wonderful day, extremely approachable and unique in every way. Well played New Glarus."

"Trying not to be terribly biased in my review since I don't really like cherries. However, the strong cherry flavor seems a little artificial (whereas the Raspberry Tart tasted like real raspberries). A good beer that would be much better if only I was a cherry fan."

"I was sure I had rated this beer already. Anyway, here goes. This beer is awesome. The beer pours a hazy ruby red with a long lasting cream coloured head. The aroma is sweet charries with a tart cherry or two to provide balance. The flavour is more cherry than most krieks I find. An excellent beer, and worth the drive up from Chicago."
