Not like most traditional ales we use 3 different malted barleys creating a medium bodied amberish ale. We then selected European hops and yeast, naturally carbonating and aging the beer for almost four weeks. This produces an incredibly smooth ale that even the ladies will enjoy.

"This beer pours a nice dark gold colour with reddish hues. The head was generous and lasted a while. A malty arima backed up by some citrusy fruits makes the mouth water. The mouthfeel was indeed creamy. The flavour however backs up everything I else I said. Nothing to print in the morning paper but certainly an enjoyable brew."

"Beautiful creamy off-white yellowish head that has great retention. The brew is clear copper in colour and has a good amount of active carbonation. Lacing is thick and patchy. The aromas are light with grainy malt and bittern hops hidden in the back. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. The taste is also light, with some refreshing malt, apples in the middle and mild corn in the finish. Hop is also present as a flavour, but not in bitterness. I enjoyed this one as an easy-drinking cream ale... and like the description says, so did my girlfriend."

"A Very nice ale that really dosen't fit in any of the catagories that have been set out. Nice hoppy attack and a very smooth taste, I wouldnt go as far as to call it a cream ale, but a decent ale non the less.
Recommended. "

"Sampled from a bottle filled that day at the brewery. Far from being a "bitter", "blonde" or "common golden" ale, according to the brewer this ale is a modern revival of the cream ales that were made by most independent commercial Canadian Brewers in the 40s and 50s before EP Taylor sanitzed the style with bland adujnct ingedients and fast fermentation methods. This is granddad’s cream ale....a fruity accented mild malty ale with lager dinkability characteristics..........pours a golden-amber into the glass, fluffy 3 finger sticky white cap that laces well ( good quality malt mix)........... Aromas of sweet malts , unripened fruits (pears/apricots) and wet hay........ Medium-light bodied, creamy mouth feel, mild character with defined malt spine and distinct ale yeast fruitiness. Malts, yeast and hops blend harmoniously in this very drinkable mild-mannered, but tastey, cream ale....finishes semi-wet with a light fruity-citrus finish...malty but not sweet....... A very well put together retro all malt cream ale and one of the best examples of the style I have tasted. Seeing how Cream Ale is a Canadian brewing invention of the early part of the last century, its a shame not too many authentic examples exist in today’s cottage brewing industry....this is one of them

"A really great malty taste, strong bitter mouthfeel and flavour. Seems like a hardworking beer, a good first impression of this brewery. In very much the true English bitter fashion, quite a well put together beer. Very drinkable, a social type beer. I could see this brewery putting forth some reasonably good beers in the future, this is certainly a good start. "
