Belgian Style Golden Ale
Belgian Ales represent the height of the brewers' art. Sophisticated brewing techniques, yeast blends and unique flavoring elements have elevated the beers of Belgium to the status enjoyed by wine in other countries.
PranQster follows in this tradition using a mixed culture of antique yeast strains that produce a floral nose, a full fruity flavor and a clean finish

"Mild yeasty aroma with some sweetness and spice, lemon also appears. Smell reminds me a lot of the typical Unibroue aromas. Beer looks burnt with a yellowish ting. A thick white cap with great retention sits on top. Taste is fairly mild and has a strange bitter tang in the finish. A chemically flavor that reminds me of lemon is very noticeable and for only 7.6% the alcohol is a little to noticeable. Flavor is very spicy and has the Unibroue yeast taste. Maybe to much floral perfume in her to. It’s a good beer but Unibroue destroys this as far as I’m concerned. Now beer is very warm and I taste burnt rubber or is that liquorish? I don’t know but I’m not a fan. "

"Light yellow and cloudy, light white head with no lacing to speak of. medium-bodied, full round mouthfeel. A GREAT rush of flavor; malty and spicy with a nice citrus-sour edge. Finish is short, with slight bitterness. No, I didn't chug it but it sure tasted fine! MUSIC: 'Northern Downpour' by Panic! at the Disco"

"A cloudy golden body that holds up an egg-white head on pour. Settles into a decent lacing. There'a a lot of yeast-breadiness in the nose. The kick of alcohol adds to the complexity of yeast, bread, and, spice. "

"Poured out a medium sized bubbly white head that has ok retention and minor lacing. Somewhat hazy golden gold....er.... The aroma is seriously lacking - way to mellow. Sweet, citrus, yeast, slight spice. The aroma is nice but waaaaaay to light. Now that this has warmed it is way better tasting. But still, there is an immediate aftertaste that ruins this for me. It seems to be almost metallic. Better now that I swirled in the sediment. Much softer now. Great yeasty flavour, minor spice - my flavour mark just went from 5 to 8. Nice thick citrus taste, great yeast once again, mild spice, i can see pears (thx RedHaze), now this is yumzers. Mouth feel when from over carbonated with a horrid aftertaste to soft with nice smooth middle (malty) and finishes excellently. A must re-review."

"This beer is no joke. Pours a yellow/orange color with a decent sized initial head which tapers off pretty quickly. The aroma is fruity but quite mild. There's a nice amount of flavor here though which was a bit surprising based on the mild aroma. It's fruity, spicy, yeasty, slightly tangy with hints of vanilla and very well balanced. There's enough there for a pleasing mouthfeel and it's quite refreshing. 7.2% and it really doesn't seem like it's that high. North Coast once again provides high quality for an affordable price. Well done! "
