A distinctive blend of roasted dark and chocolate malts with a crisp lager taste. This unique style of beer was introduced for all those who love their beer a little darker and a little bolder. Rich in colour & flavour, our Black Lager finishes crisp and clean.

"Original review done in Anglemont BC on holidays after drinking almost 24 over 3 days. Had it on tap here in Edmonton multiple times since - stands up to initial review.
Ultra dark brown brew that is pretty much black with a thick medium tan head and very good messy lacing. Solid upfront aroma, powdered chocolate - quite a bit of it. Lots of roasted malts that are not too powerful, some stinky floral presence.. is something a bit off?? Dunno what it is. Bitter chocolate flavour turns into a softer chocolate, tons of roast, the bitterness hits in mid sip, some citrus hops. Pretty straight forward. Some coffee but it is just a tad. Smooth, good bite and a lingering roast finish."

"This is an exellent little beer, much different than the "stout" I was expecting, but lovely all the same. Coffee, slight ash on the smell and taste. Exellent bitter little edge on the aftertaste. Much lighter taste than a stout, yet still has full round flavour. Im a big fan, this will be a great beer to bring to a party and have many of."

"Very dark brown body that appears pretty much black in the glass, a small brown film floats on top. Aroma is very stout like with coffee and burnt malts dominating. Taste is much the same coffee, ash, light malts and all are very sweet with bitterness showing up in the finish. Very drinkable light tasting brew glad I found it on tap."

"A beer that was new to me until having a couple whle dining out tonight. Almost no aroma, to go along with a very black and non-transparent body. Almost headless, too. Taste was not so bad, with malt and some burnt coffee on offer. Average mouth, and a respectable finish. "
