As you pour this rich golden ale into your glass, consider your surroundings. Are you in a restaurant? Outside on the deck? Is it hot and humid? Cold and brisk? Take a drink. Feel the way Hennepin is bright and lively in your mouth with a warming mix of spicy gingersnap and citrusy hops. Refreshing. Relaxing. It's true: no matter where you are, Hennepin is the perfect ale for all seasons.

"Pours a hazy-golden with thick white head and complete lace. Aromas of apples, hops, mint, light citrus, grass, and spices. The mouthfeel is average: somewhat thin and watery. Flavors of apples, grapes, some hops, and spices. "

" It poured a cloudy golden color with a very big head that lasted forever. Lots of carbonation. This beer had a slight citrus smell to it. the taste was a mix of spicy gingersnap and citrusy hops. A good beer."

"Upon pouring a huge white foamy head that lasted longer than the beer, a very cloudy orangish- yellow fully carbonated body. Aroma was a little fruity, malty and mild spice. Flavor was similar but with a pronounced alcohol presence. A pretty decent brew."

"The appearance is golden yellow with a hazy body. A wonderful three finger head builds from lively carbonation. The head slowly fades back leaving nice lacing on the glass. Its aroma is fruity and floral, citrus and spice and every thing nice. The flavor of light malts, citrus and clove hits you first. Then earthy yeast and complementary citrus and floral hops leads you to a sweet and sour finish. Well balanced, medium body and very refreshing. Very well done, this one has turned me on to this style of beer.

"The farmhouse ales I have found carry a lot of complexity. This golden liquid with a whitish head presents well in the glass. The bubbles of carbonation are fun to watch. There's the balance of driness from the alcohol, the orchard/field of fruits, the subtle sweetness of caramel malt that all come together that make this a fun drink. "
