"Orval pours a mid to light brown body, super big head, with good carbonation. Aroma of apricots, raisins, and alcohol. Mouthfeel was a little on the light side and it was smooth. Flavor wasnt that great for me, alcohol was dominant with very slight hints of sour yeast. Overall it was a decent beer but at $ 5.00 + a bottle it wasnt that great, i might try one again someday in the future."

"This very fine brew poured a beautiful amber with a substantial fluffy white head. A very light mouthfeel. The flavor is a delicate blend of malt, spices, and hops. A great brew to be enjoyed in the quiet of the day."

"This beer poured a cloudy golden color with a thin white head. It had a smoewhat fruity aroma with some alcohol. Carried a slighbtly sour flavor with some hints of malty sweetness."

"This one is a stands out from the other trappist beers that I have had. It pours a hazy orange/brown with a thick creamy head. Nice floral aroma with a funky yeast and citrus in the bouquet. The brettanomyces yeast imparts a wild and funky flavor. Sour and tart with a citrusy and floral hops. Unique and complex, refreshing and effervescent. Medium body and a smooth mouth feel. Tart dry finish that leaves you wanting more. Great beer with a big price tag [5 bucks +deposit] for a 11.2 oz bottle that I could drink a lot of.

"11.2 oz bottle, bottled on 4/24/07, best before 4/24/2012, and purchased 1/26/08. Pours a clear golden orange (the second pour makes it nice and cloudy) with a monstrous fizzy and rocky big bubbled white head that retains fairly well and laces the glass.
The aroma is fruits (pears?) and alcohol with some yeast funk, wood and some slightly metallic and floral hops.
The flavor is yeast funk and slightly sour fruits, with some mild bitter hops. It's pretty subdued but nice. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with tons of sharp carbonation. It mellows out a bit as it sits.
Overall, a nice beer that gets better as it warms and more has been drunk."
