Brewed for the Italian market and it is a middle Sour, with a ph of 3,85/3,90 of acidity. Note that this is not the same Panil Barriquee (Sour) as the version exported to the US.

"Cloudy dark reddish amber appearance. Low white head. Acidic aroma of dades and black currant with strong notes of wood, cork and wormwood. Acidic and musty flavour of red grapes, wood, black cherries and bloodgrape. Woody, yeasty and acidic aftertaste of tart red grapes."

"Pours a hazy chestnut with no visible carbonation and a few bubbles for a head.
Sour fruit to the nose.
Taste is fairly unexciting. Sourness is present, but after any Rodenbach this is lacking.
Mouthfeel is thin and could benefit from more carbonation.

"Hazy orangeish colour, mediumsized beige bubbly head. Aroma is sour fruits and marsipan. Flavour is extremely sour fruits with some caramelly and malty hints. Very pleasantly smooth sourness. Welldone. "

"Poured a cloudy orange color, with a large, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of light brett (not as present as in the US version), cherry, oak, and grape skins. Taste of cherry, wood, toffee, nuts, with a bit of lemon peel, and a tart, dry finish... noticeably less sour than the US version. "

"Bottle: Poured a light beige color ale with a huge foamy head with perfect retention and lacing. Aroma is sour with some tart and oak and is also reminiscent of lambic but maybe a tad lighter. Taste is a mix between some sourness; tart some subtle oak with a long dry finish. I would probably have liked more sourness overall but I thought this was still very enjoyable. Carbonation is very lively and body is quite full with minimum filtration. I am now very curious to taste their other offering."
