"I recognize the photo as that of my friend, cyrenaica. I finally got around to trying this beer, and I was pleasantly surprised. The beer pours a clear cherry kool-aid red with a thin whitish head. The aroma is sweet malt, some fruit tones, and a small amount of hops. The flavour is very malty with some sweetness."

"my first doublebock was pretty good. the body was a dark reddish color there wasnt much head or lacing to speak of. Thick malty flavor with hints of brown sugar. a rather smooth beer, easy to drink, cant wait to try the second one i bought."

"Another double bock direct from the masters of lagers. A rich ruby body with bready-fruitcake aroma and at 7.5% provides a nice warming flavor. Again great with Chinese take out. "

"copper color, clear. sweet aroma. taste fell a little short though. Malt wasn't full, felt a touch watery. Not that malty that you'd expect from a dopplebock. kinda left me wanting more. It's a shame that this falls in the same category as Celebrator."
