"330ml bottle
8.4% ABV
Special Pauwel Kwak glass (Priceless)
I tried this beer on October 21, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer was poured into the special Kwak glass a translucent golden red, highly effervescent, and with a long lasting white head. The aroma was yeast, fruity, with some hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with medium to high carbonation. The flavour was sweet malt, plummish tones, and a bitter finish."

"Have seen this one several times but never tried it until now. Kwak poured a very nice reddish orange body, With a mid sized off white cap. Aromas of spice, and a little banana. Flavors were similar but i also detected caramel and cloves, mouthfeel was smooth and sweet, a little bitter but a nice finish. Overall a pretty good beer thats worth a try."

"The beer pours a clear golden-brown with a huge tan coloured head. The aroma is malt, yeast, and several fruit tones like plum and raisins. The flavour is malty with a spicy finish. A great experience."

"Kwak has a nice clear orangish colour with a monster sized tan head. The lacing comment will have to wait as getting a decent reading out of the famous round bottom Kwak glass isn't fair. The aroma consisted of strong fruit, orange, toasted and bready malts, obvious spice and very fragrant. The flavour is excellent. This is a top of the line brew. Toasted malts, caramel - actually there's just a lot of malts. Large spice (pepper and clove) and a good amount of dark fruit (not plums), figs maybe. This stuff definitely has a nice spicy alcohol bite to it with ok carbonation. Nice stiff peppery and something else spicy finish, even a bit hot. This is great beer. I could drink lots and lots, oh yes. The sediment is a total mess now that I've dumped it in. Good times."

"different look~ right away i notice that it has a very potent aroma to it. aroma is filled with a different variety of sweet dark smells, like mocha, chocolate, bar-b-q, and an odd one, burned bacon. i agree with clash, that it looks like an Iced Tea when i poured it~ but it had a lot of sand color head. heavy malt taste, very seductive. a nice full body really brings out the best in this beer. for a family brewed beer though this is one of the better family beers."
