Peroni Gran Riserva is perfect for the more discerning and experimental consumer. The Peroni Groups's brewing expertise and dedication to quality will appeal to the connoisseur who enjoys the best in life. This full flavoured lager is the perfect partner for rich, flavoursome dishes and provides a satisfying alternative to other types of drinks.
Peroni Gran Riserva is brewed from the finest variety hop, known as Saaz and premium quality spring barley malt called Prisma. Once the harvest is sent to the malt factories there is a further selection process where only the best parts of the harvest are selected. Fermentation takes place for eight weeks at a low temperature and prolonged laagering in the cellar ensures a balanced and mature flavour.
Peroni Gran Riserva is a new super premium lager from the Peroni group. It was launched in Italy in 1996 to celebrate Peroni Group’s 150th anniversary and is now available in the UK having been launched here in February 1999 to enormous acclaim.

"Golden colour, small white head. Malts, hops and alcohol in aroma along with weak cookieness. Malty flavour with some hops kicking in. Quite ok for its style, no big erraneous flavour. Just boring. "

"Found this one at the bottleshop in a trolley for $2 each. So i grabbed a handful. Great 'smooth' fruity smell, and a nice fluffy white head, tasted a bit watery in the mouth, but if you have 3 or 4 of these, they will make you feel sick, particularly a few hours after finishing them, its like they linger in your throat, tempting you to throw it back up."

"Nice golden color. not much foam, but what there is, stays for long. Aroma is grassy, reminds maybe a little bit of fired egg for some reason? But damn, it's probably the best Italian beer, I've ever tasted. Smooth, a little grainy taste. Really soft aftertaste, very drinkable beer."

"Bottle. Clear orange colour with a slim but persistant white head. Malty aroma with some caramel. Flavour is pretty well balanced malt and hops. Medium to full bodied, low carbonation. No great revelation, but not bad at all."
