"A hazy gold colored medium bodied ale with a white head that lingered for a while. There were aromas of raisins and spice. The flavor was dominated by spice. As the beer came to room temperature it became a thin bodied ale."

"A beer that took a rather round-about way of winding up in my glass -- a Belgian beer imported all the way to Hawaii, and then hand-carried back with me to California. Worth the "Long Distance Runaround"? "Yes". ;)
Had this with a few Polska Kielbasas, with spicy brown mustard on fresh wheat rolls, and this beer not only held it's own, but paired up nicely.
Huge head of foam (not surprisingly), that actually stuck around `til the very end (surprisingly). Nice fresh, slightly estery aroma, with an equally fresh and appealing easy drinkability. Could perhaps be a bit more complex in the flavor profile -- like several other Bavik beers, the brewer of this seemed like he/she took a few minor short-cuts in the recipe. This is especially noticeable in the back-end, where some additional layers of flavor would have been a nice touch, to put a nice finish to the beer.
But even still, this was better than I though it'd be, to be honest. I prefer Belgian Strong Pale Ales over Tripels normally, but can easily see getting this again, especially for the price.

"2nd time with Petrus and it didn't fail to deliver. Bright yellow color on the body, tons of carbonation (but not harsh on the palate). Aroma of bubblegum, fruity esters, slightly sour/tart. Flavors were also the same but danced on the tongue. Another excellent beer from Petrus."

"Bottled. Golden colour, with lively carbonation, sparkling big creamy off-white head, which takes ages to settle. Aroma is rubbery, malty and hoppy. Very boring. Flavour is malts and hops with some weak caramellish notes as well as weak honey. Sticky palate, and the carbonation tickles the tongue and throat in a nice way. "

"10.02.04 250ml bottle. Hazy golden yellow, massive white head fades to creamy coating. Aromas of apple, melon, honey, canned pineapple. Flavor is sweet up front and across the middle. Nice tingly eff. Slight unctuousness to the hops makes for a spicey finish. Wheaty. Vanilla. For a tripel, it could have more depth, although it’s a quite tasty brew. I could surely go for a larger bottle."
