"I've had this beer many, many times over 30 years or more and still find it delightful; my benchmark for a classic bohemian pilsner. Pours a clear yellow gold with a whispy, bubbly white head. The nose is perfect pils - fine understating malt freshness with the characteristic saaz hop bouquet. Soft palate, lightly carbonated, medium-bodied. The flavor is instantly recognizable, full of flavor balanced between the fresh grain and the light hop bitterness. MUSIC: 'Original of the Species' by U2 "

"I liked Vyskovske Pivo so I guess I would pick up a six pack of Urquell to try. Looks nice but when you crack the seal the aroma hits you with a vengeance. Smells like skunk and dirty socks. Taste was almost as bad but you get used to it. Not in my opinion a good beer and only drank it not to let the rest go to waste. I'd recommend trying Vyskovske Pivo as your first Czech beer and its cheaper. "

"Pours a nice pale golden yellow with small head and fair retention. The Aroma from this beer kills me. Skunk. Kind of thin on the tongue but decent carbonation. The flavor was fair for a pils. Overall very disappointing."

" This is a great Pilsner. It blows away all Pilsner beers from the United States. It pours a perfect golden color with great carbonation and a nice head on it. It has a nice maltiness to it and a nice hoppy finish to it. "

"I just don't get it. I've tried this beer in Prague - I've tried this beer at home and in bars. They are consistent, but consistently bland. I have witnessed none of the great things I've heard about this beer. I'll say its drinkable, but slightly below average. I may drink it again, but I won't buy it."
