"One of several quality beers gifted to me last Friday, whilst out-and-about with the London Crew at the The Bottle Shop. And though I reallly went into this particular brewery's offerings with a completely blank slate, after finishing this off, I can say that I'm glad I took the plunge with this one...!
While most American organic beers I've had in the past were all rather dull and empty tasting, I have occasionally run across English organic beers that had a fair amount of life and spark to them. This beer in particular virtually leaps out of the glass with life and sparkle -- no mean acheivement, considering the relatively tame 3.7%ABV too.
More bitter than many other English Bitters I've had as of late -- comes across almost like a toned-down ESB than anything else. No complaints here!
Nicely quaffable, and very easy in the mouthfeel. Perhaps a little too hoppy for some fans of the style, but for me, I think the change of pace is refreshing.
A surprisingly enjoyable beer. Recommended.
