"22 oz bottle. Pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head that quickly diminishes. A very vigorous pour produced a medium creamy white head that retained for a while.
The aroma is sweet melon and caramel with piney peppery grapefruit hops.
The flavor is sweet caramel malts and some melons quickly followed by a big bitter finish with resiney peppery fruity and kind of salty/tarry hops that linger in the aftertaste. The alcohol is well hidden other than the warming. The mouthfeel is medium to full with low carbonation.
Overall, a very solid DIPA. The flavor, especially the salty/tarry notes, kept it from being a top tier. "

"Bottle courtesy of Bchung52077: Poured an orangey color ale with a small foamy head with good retention and some minimal lacing. Aroma of citrus and grapefruit notes with some very light caramel malt notes. Taste is also dominated by some grapefruit and citrus hops notes with some very light caramel malt and a dry bitter hoppy finish. Full body with some good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. While there is nothing wrong with this beer and it is very enjoyable I still could not understand why this is so highly rated as it seems to be lacking some floral notes which are (for me anyway) what makes this style interesting to begin with."

"Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours out in a clear amber colour with a low thick white foam. Huge hop aroma of lychee, pine-needles, grass and orange-peels with sweet undertones of nectarines and peaches. Full-bodied with a big bitter flavour orangey, piney and grassy hops with touches of resin and pepper. Long grapefruity finish with dryish and oily notes of lychee, pepper and orange-peels. "

"Bottled (Thanks Stoutlover72!). Deep amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is bready and grassy/flowery hops. Flavour is the same along with a balancing touch of fruityness. Also some slight yeastyness and alcohol can be cfound. Big grassy and alcoholic aftertaste. "

"Poured a golden-amber color, nice generous initial head, good retention, good lacing. The aroma was rich grapefruits and pine. The flavor was smooth pale type malts, melons, apricots, finishing with a vicious hoppy bitterness, pine and citrus at the fore, and man, some darned bittering hops shining in the finish and then some. One of the most bitter dIPA's I've had, certainly overpowering the alcohol (was SHOCKED it was 10%), and the bitter hops resounded for a while after each sip and after the last sip. Certainly not a malty sticky run away of a dIPA, dangerously drinkable!"
