"A bomber from Hi-Time Wine Cellars. Orange-amber color and pours with just a thin head. The aroma is citrus hops and pine but it's a little weak. Really nice grapefruit hoppy flavor, this is very citrusy, some pine as well with light malt backing. Very nice, just like an IPA should be, and the aggressive hops are what I've come to expect from a good West Coast IPA. I really do like the hop profile in this one. This may fall just short of the top tier of IPAs in my book but that's mostly because of aroma and appearance and this is a great tasting IPA. "

"22 oz bottle. Pours a clear golden orange with a frothy white head that quickly goes to a thin film that laces the glass.
The aroma is caramel malt, melon and spicy peppery hops.
The flavor is sweet sugary malts and fruits (melon and a little banana) followed by a resiny salty tarry (almost plasticy) hop finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with some sharp carbonation.
Overall, a decent IPA. I didn't care too much for the hop profiles. Very similar to the Hop 15 from what I recall."

"Pours out in a hazy amberish orange colour with a low sticky white foam. Rich hoppy aroma of pine-needles, lychee, flowers and blood grape. Medium to full-bodied with notes of grapefruit, pine-cones, grass, flowers and orange-peels. Not much malt in here, it’s mainly focuses on the hops. Long bitter finish of grapefruit peels, grass and pine-needles. Monotonic, yet tasty.

"Bottle. Poured a clear golden color with a medium white head. Strong and pleasant citrus and hoppy aroma. Flavor is very hoppy, with a nice grapefruit bitterness to it. Pine finish. A very nice IPA. Thanks, Doncock for the bottle!"

[5] Review by Phil B from Gatineau, Canada who has tried this beer once. (6/20/2007 2:57:14 PM)
"Bottle courtesy of Bu11zeye: Poured an hazy brown color ale with a big foamy head with better then average retention. Aroma of deep citrus hops with some piney notes. Taste is also dominated by huge citrusy hops with some great caramel malt to back-up the whole thing together. Body is above average with some medium filtration and some adequate carbonation. Overall, a good west coast interpretation of the style but nothing earth shattering either."
