St. Benedict of Nursia lived in the late 5th to early 6th centuries. Legend has it while living in solitude, he was befriended by a raven that later saved his life. He is most remembered for writing the Rule of St. Benedict that, among other virtues, teaches humility. Inspired by this Rule we humbly offer St. Benedict's Winter Ale, a hand-crafted ale using generous amounts of dark roasted malts and the finest noble hops for a robust warming flavor.

"This was nice. Poured a nice dark red color with a beige head with poor retention. It had a mild and sweet aroma with a nice malty flavor with fruity notes from the yeast."

"Sampled from bottle: This beer pours a clear dark reddish colour with a very small thin amber head. The beer carries a very pleasent aroma. Dates, honey, carmel and apricots. Has flavors of grapes, carmel, toffee and honey. Medium bodied, doesn't represent a dubbel as much as it could. But still tastey."
