Imperial Stout is a deep black beer with a chocolate coloured huge head. Has a powerful aroma and flavour of as well the roasted malts and the huge amounts of hops. While brewing the american hops Chinook, Centennial, Amarillo and Cascade are used. The beer is dry hopped with loads of Cascade. The most black beer Raasted has yet had on the program.

"500 ml bottle, now available in Norway (Vinmonopolet). ABV is 9.0%. Pitch black colour, big brown head. Very nice aroma of roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. The flavour has heavily roasted malts galore (bordering on cremation), also liquorice, tar and extremely strong coffee. There is also a huge hoppy bitterness from start to finish, and the alcohol is noticeable. The flavour is overall a bit of an "overkill", could have been better balanced. Still quite impressive, a small glass of this beer could stand in for a cup of espresso after dinner. Improves a bit as the beer warms up, a certain sweetness comes through, to balance (some of) the bitterness."

"Draught. Deep rubyish brown colour, very close to black. Mediumsized brown head. Aroma is toffee, roasted malts, some alcohol and mild notes of hops and chocolate. Flavour is roasted malts, alcohol, mild sourness with coffee and chocolate taking over closer to the finish. Aftertaste is mainly chocolate, coffee and roast. WOW!"

". Black as used oil with a small beige head. Sweet and soapy hop aroma of pine-needles, burnt, malts, brown sugar, flowers, citric fruit and sweet dark coffee. Full and quite chewy flavour of sweet black coffee, pine-needles, oranges, flowers and grapefruit. Thick body. Piney finish of sugary coffee, alcohol with loads of piney and citric hops. American-style galore but it’s a bit too sweet for top marks."
