"I have bought several six packs of this and enjoy it quite a lot. Pours pale gold/straw in color with a large head. The aroma is crisp and clean smelling with a fresh hop nose of hay/straw. This looked like a "weak" beer at first, but I was pleasantly surprise with the taste. It is clean and refreshing while not sacrificing complexity. There is a nice malt backbone with an assertive hoppiness and dry finish. This is the definition of a session beer in my opinion. I don't detect any "sweaty socks" some other reviewers have complained about."

"The best thing about this beer is the description or tag line, if you will, "with a blonde in hand its always happy hour." rofl. ok no seriously ,the beer. i would describe this as a dirty blonde if it is a blonde. maybe a brunette who dyes her hair blonde. either way, its a dirty pale yellow color. i totally understand shag’s sweaty sock comment after having this one though. the aroma and the flavor bring this out. aroma also has some light floral and pineapple/banana flavors, and the flavor is grainy with some alfalfa or some raw soy bean flavor (if you take em from the field and chew em). not so good. "This actually isn’t a bad beer. Of course it’s never going to rate highly here. Light-bodied, light-colored beers don’t stand a chance around here. But it is really pretty good for what it is. The appearance really isn’t very promising. The pale gold body really would make it hard to differentiate this from a macro lager. The aroma also plays some tricks on the mind. If you gave this to me in a blind taste test I never would have guessed it was a blonde ale like the label claims. I would have pegged it as a really fresh sample of some Bohemian pilsner or one of the better, but less aggressive American takes on the style. The hops aren’t huge in this, but do stand up beneath the firm, dry straw/hay maltiness. Another example of ABC becoming a much better brewery than it once was and becoming a source of some solid session beers."

"Ah the sweaty socks are back. Ehhh. A blonde appearance with a large head. A bit of lemons and corn show in the flavor. The aroma is unpleasent and funky. A sour and bitter aftertaste which doesnt work in this style. I'm not a fan of this beer. "

"The aroma is of sweet malt with some grain as well as hay and straw or grass. The appearance is a nice darker, pale yellow with a thin head on top that diminishes leaving a bleach white, bubbly lacing on top that coats the glass well. The mouthfeel is light-bodied with decent malty complexity as well as decent balance with a pallet that is crisp but a bit thin and watery. The flavor is of some citrus lemon with some malts with some grain and hay characteristics with an aftertaste that is sweet and malty and crisp and refreshing with a finish that is smooth and wet but a bit watery as well as club soda or dishwater-like but not too bad. Overall, this is a good Summer beer to drink and is crisp and refreshing as well as smooth with some funky overtones that I can't quite place. This is a good brew and not too bad and is pretty pleasant to drink. This must be brand new from ABC because it is not yet on their website, this is a pretty good beer with high drinkability and I would recommend it."
