""Rialto Special Lager", eh? In a green bottle..., from El Salvador.... What are the odds of this being decent, ya wonder...?
Surprisngly, not nearly as horrible as I expected. I was fully locked-n'-loaded with clever remarks on this beer (e.g. "Special Lager", as in "Special Needs", as in "Short Bus"... you get the idea). I mean, come on.... this is coming from the same prolific brewery that has spewed upon the world such travesties against nature as Cerveza Caguama, Caballo Cerveza Extra, Rio Claro, and Taurino Maximo Light (all easy to find here in SoCal).
But this is not horrible. A bit sweet, a lot thin, and kinda "chemically" in the backend. But I've said it before, and I'll say it again -- not freakin' horrible.
A Trader Joe's-type of beer, for sure..., in that I'm glad I did not spend more than $0.87 for this. But in the long-and-short of things, this did kill a thirst. Worth an open-minded try if you can find a bottle cheap/free...

"My momma always said if you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything about "Rialto". I'm sorry but this beer was abysmal, diacytl and watery and just plain undrinkable, drainpour. Its a crass review and I apologize, but Rialto should apologize for this beer."
