"This was my first Trappist beer in over a year, and the first I have had out of a bottle. The fact that it came out of a bottle did not diminish the flavor or intensity at all. Excellent beer! "

"I was blessed. The #10 is the best. I have tried #6, and #8. They were awesome. This was definitely a cut high above all else known to me. A very nice fruity palate. Very smooth and robust in the mouth and very incredible after taste. I found a new spot to find precious refresfments. I can easily understand why this is the 2nd highest ranked brew in the the world. I think that over time the Trappiste's were able to refine their brew to be "heavenly." I have a new meaning when someone says the "sunshine and heavens opened." I will be buying this as long as it is available. I found it at a Whole Foods market. What a TRIP!"

"Pours dark brown/red/mahagony with a very thin head that fades quickly. Excellent lacing. A very malty beer with hints of various fruits and a very pronounced alcohol flavor that turned me off a bit... but not too much. Nice all around and would consider it again when I am able to acquire it."

[5] Review by Cybercat from Atlanta, GA, USA who has tried this beer once. (12/28/2009 2:36:16 PM)
"Aroma is crisp, strong, fruity and malty with just a whisper of sweetness. It pours a hazy, barely translucent, dark coppery brown with a very thick and pale tan head. Flavor is malty and fruity with a hint of caramel and a fierce but not overwhelming alcohol bite. Texture is very smooth, yet quite fizzy and tingly, leaving a satisfying and lip-smacking finish with fruity and caramel hints as well as a touch of sweetness."
