"26 oz ceramic flip top bottle. I have been anxiously awaiting this one. Golden colored topped with a thick foamy off-white head and lots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is quite grassy and malty with only a touch of hops and perhaps some hay notes as well. The flavor starts with some rich french pilsner malts then turns fruity, hoppy and sour. Sour aftertaste that sits on the tongue. More of a malt presence than I expected. Better as it warms. Definitely a good beer but something was just a tad off. Way too expensive but I guess that's partly because of the bottle. "

"Purchaced in early to mid 2006. Poured out a small off-white cap with a small ammount of retention that sat on top a viscus, cloudy, nice orangy gold brew. Lots of slow moving bubbs. Better than average lacing for a Pilsner. The aroma is nothing special although it does come across appealing, but still only average. You can note the grassy grain and a touch of alcohol but it is well hidden. The fruity aroma lessens along with the level of brew in my glass. There are also some soft biscuity malts. There is a touch of the 'ole grapefruit hops and some alcohol but the hops cover it up nicely. Decent malts too. Good bitter hops. Now that it's warming, the bitterness has surpassed the majority of other flavours. There is other stuff to find but it comes and goes and is very faint. Medium bodied. If you suck on your tongue you'll find that the hard bitterness never really leaves. A slight alcohol burn with some harshness as well. A smooth and highly drinkable beer that is totally overpriced but I guess the 20 bucks goes to the ceramic bottle. "

"Hazy, golden body with a pure white head. Abundant amount of hops in the aroma, but malts are present, as well. The flavor profile is an almost exact reflection of the aromas. Moderate level of carbonation, yet the overall mouthfeel is rather silky and heavy. This beer certainly fits the description of an "Imperial Pilsener.""

"Hazy pale orange topped with a pillowy white foam. Perfumy aroma of peaches and orange marmelade with crisp undertones of minerals, flowers and bread. Full flavour of oily grassy hops, apricots and peaches with a long finish of orange-peels, grass, neutral yeast and bread. Cool beer!"

"Bought a 26 oz ceramic Morimoto painted and signed flip-top at Fatheads in PGH. I love a flip-top bottle! Golden color, cloudy as fresh apple juice. Pure white head, smooth foam. Plenty of lacing. Dry hop floral aroma (Sterling hops). Big malty backbone (French Pils malt). Mouthfeel is HOT. Intense hop bitterness dominates the aftertaste. While I do not call myself a Pils fan, this I like! "
