"Bottle. Golden colour with large white head. Aroma is hoppy, malty and sweet. Clean and crisp, with a dry and bitter taste. Light to medium bodied. Pretty good; for a Märzen, it is a better pilsner than a lot of pilsners."

[3] Review by Brad Pear from Snake View, Ca., USA who has tried this beer many times. (2/1/2005 2:42:27 PM)
"Surprised Rothaus got bumped off the new list, it was here before with the normal Zapfle Pils. This is a damn good Marzen style bier, brewed in Ice bier fashion. The nomal Zapfle (;oosley translated as cat grenade) is 5% and this has .6% more, and 100% more flavor. This is a golded MArzen of the Deutsch style, with a full body and a hearty maltz body. This bier shames more famous Oktoberfest biersa perfect brew for Fasnet which is the local version of Mardi Gras but much older. Another great bier aus dem Hochschwarzwald."
