Bock is German for billy goat. Tradition has it that two Knights in old Germany debating the better man challenged each other to drink the others brew till they dropped. As the competition reached it's peak a billy goat broke through the crowd knocking one of the Knights to the ground. The other promptly declared my beer has succeeded and I will now name it after the billygoat, it's name will be Bock! Bock is a German style lager that undergoes the unique process of cold maturationf over a 16 week period.
Brewed solely at the Sail & Anchor to a very high original gravity this beer is not for the faint hearted. Intensely full bodied it will warm your toes with a restrained hop finish. Look for boiled lollies on the palate with big malty overtones balanced with high alcohol. Unfiltered and unpasteurised the beer is a nude beer, that is chemical free.
