Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and a long, dry finish.

"250ml bottle
6.5% ABV
I tried this beer on November 21, 2008 at ‘The Beer Bistro’ in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a cloudy golden-orange colour with absolutely no head. The aroma was grainy malt, some must, and peppery tones. The Mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was full of spice with a nice balance between the malt and the hops. Definitely a peppery taste and feel.

"Crisp aroma is rich and fruity, more like a cider than a beer. It pours out a cloudy golden with a thick, off-white head. Flavor is fruity and crisp with hints of malt and just a trace of hops. Texture is lively, jazzy and jagged - it fairly dances on the tongue and on its way down the pipes."

"Pours a cloudy yellow/apricot color with thick white head (dimples) and excellent lace. Complex aroma of malts, citrus, peppers/spice, and hops. Excellent mouthfeel - smooth, thick, creamy, and chewy. Great flavor of fruits - citrus, berries, malts, hops, spice, bitters. Tremendous!"

"I think this is my first Saison. Nice cloudy golden body. The best/longest lasting head I've seen in a bottled brew. Not much aroma. But the bittering hops are nicely subtle making this an enjoyable drink."

"375 ml caged, corked bottle: A sparkling yellow-orange pour with a large, rocky, white head that takes it's time to settle down. There's a lot of heavy lacing as well. Aroma has a nice yeasty funkiness with some residual sugars and a sweet flowery scent. Dry and lightly tart on the palate. There's a lingering bitterness involved here. I did find the mouth feel to be thinner than anticipated. Soured fruits, citrus zest, and dry wheat are the prominent flavors. A sharp bitter hop presence counters the fruitiness. This is decent, but I don't find this to be amazing by any means and the price doesn't help either."
