"Fine and pleasant dark lager, with some very characteristic Porter features. One of the best Czech dark beers. Soft and mild, but enough solid to feel the variaty of its flavours. Going mostly watery, but with delicate and well expressed sweetness in a mouth. Attractive caramel and honey aroma, nice dark (balck reddish) colour, medium soft foam. Malty background with mild spicy and fruity flavour, caramel expression, some chocolate hints. The sweetness is not overdosed and finely mixed with malty and yeasty flavours. Well balanced and finely expressed. Leaves fine malty and fruity aftertaste. I was drinking with real pleasure. Good example of mild but solid brew."

"Had it as Samson Černý Tmavé Výčepní. Dark brown colour with brownish beige head, leaves lacing. Sweet aroma of caramel and also hints of honey and a bit roast. Sweetish fruity and caramelly flavour with notes of roasted malt. Not much aftertaste. "
