Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. the end result s a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity.

"Cherries are subtle. The head is a nice puffy one, that lasts a good minute. A good beer for people wishing to get into the concept of fruity beers. Not the last time i try this."

"Pours a light golden color. with an extremely think beige head. Has a very strong, almost overpowering cherry aroma. Has a very wheat flavor with milder hints of cherry. Smooth and bubbly."

"Bottle: Poured a lightly red color ale with a small foamy head with average retention and no lacing. Aroma consists of sweet Wisconsin cherries with some more subtle wheat malt. Taste is also dominated by the sweet Wisconsin cherries with a light medicinal note that I wasn’t exactly fond of. Wheat is very subdued and almost impossible to detect. A bit too much of the cough syrup taste for my taste buds but still a worthless effort."

"It has a light hazy body, pours a nice pale golden color with a big thick white head. A noticeable chill haze and the appearance is better than average. The head leaves nice lacing on the glass. The aroma was nice, light and fruity as advertised. This is an interesting beer that smells of cherry, honey and almonds foremost and then comes the hops. I was actually surprised at how strong this smelled and tasted like cherries.
The taste is good but the body doesn't really support the sweetness. Its light to medium bodied with soft carbonation and a smooth mouth feel. After a few sips it mellowed further. There are some light malt flavors that are mostly covered up by the tartness of the cherries and sweetness of the honey. Taste was good, lots of cherry and a bit of a wheat finish.
Definitely a unique experience, ice cold, it was good and makes a nice summer quencher, finished clean with no bite and no aftertaste.

There are some light malt flavors that are mostly covered up by the sweetness of the cherries and honey. The taste is good but the body doesn't really support the sweetness. Its light to medium bodied with soft carbonation and a smooth mouth feel. It's a very good looking and smelling beer but its balance is a little to sweet for me. However this may go well with a dark chocolate brownie. I think I will give that a try.
