Created by Rodney Kibzey, Illinois
Rodney describes his wonderfully complex brew as "deep amber in color with a creamy body and a dark fruit and clove aroma." This traditional Bavarian style brew took Rodney a few batches to perfect, but the taste is worth all of his hard work.

"This beer poured a clear and dark amber color with a tall head with great retention and awesome lacing. It had a very sweeet wheat aroma with a malt backdrop. Full bodied and had a dry malty flavor with notes of raisin and caramel."

"A murky brown appearance with a beige head. The aroma contains some sour grapes, chocolate, raisins, and nutmeg. The flavor is a little bit sour with some grapes, lemons, chocolate, caramel, and brown sugar. A bready presence in this one as well. Overall this was a good beer! "

[3] Review by Hannah from OK, USA who has tried this beer a couple times. (6/25/2008 10:27:16 PM)
"Pours cloudy, almost opaque, brown with short, creamy head. Aroma is strong with clove, wheat and an overall sweetness. The flavor combines a sugary, grainy base (with wheat, of course) against floral-spiciness. Overall, I really disliked the cloyingly sweet flavor. I am passionate about beer and therefore, very rarely use a mean word like "dislike" in my reviews. I have no idea what Sam Adams was thinking, but this beer is no winner. Enough said."

"Sampled from bottle. Pours hazy brown with a tall creamy tan head. Bubblegum and strong clove dominate the aroma. Balanced. The yeast pehenols totally eclipse whatever else might be going on with the flavor. Medium-light bodied and gassy. "

"Pours a dark brown with banana and clove aroma, smaller head that disappears fairly quickly. Tastes of bananas and sweet malt. Would give this one another try but from the reviews, not looking forward to the other longshot--grape pale ale."
