Sam Adams Whitewater IPA. A wheat ale brewed with apricots & spices. This hazy brew combines the crisp character of a white ale with the intense pine and citrus flavors of an India Pale Ale. We took the unique combination to a new level with the sublet addition of apricots, which provide a slight sweetness to balance the bitterness of the hops. Cheers!

"Got this a couple times in a variety pack. Liked it enough to want to get an individual 12-pack one day, just never got around to it or had the need. A Belgian-IPA hybrid, with a balance that works quite well. Was a a little afraid at first. Probably has more IPA traits, but the white/Belgian characteristics cuts down the bitterness from the citrus...some fruit too but suttle. Flavor, mouthfeel, overall maybe a little under-rated at 7, but not quite good enough for 8's here."

"Fairly dry with an abundant hop profile. Stray yellow body, billowing white head and hefty lacing. Peach, apricot, mango and spicy pine overtake the dry crisp wheat. Tasty offering."

""What a refreshing beer! Thing I'll get the case I left at Total Wine. A murky yellow colored beer with a big fluffy textured, white head rising above. There good staying power in this one. Dissapates eventually into a medium sized ringlet and fluffs of film. Floral and gradefruit. In both the nose and on the palate. Medium bodied and creamy. "

"It pours a hazy burnt-orange and apricot with a thick and foamy off-white head and copious lacing. An aroma of caramel malts, hops, grapefruit and citrus, pine, apricots, some mango, and spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth and rather rich. Flavors of caramel/butterscotch malts, hops, grapefruit and citrus, apricot, mango, some bitterness and mild spiciness. It's fair ... smells better than it tastes..."

"Sampled on 1/27/2012. This IPA pours a slightly cloudy medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, citrusy, piney and floral. A medium bodied India Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, and there is a touch of apricot and tropical sweetness. The hops are citrusy, floral and grapefruity. A very intense IPA from Sam Adams. Nice balance. Good carbonation. A medium to highly bitter IPA. The bitterness tends to linger. A touch of yeast as well. I really like the dry finish on this beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean, dry and crisp. Aftertaste is fairly bitter. "
