"Pours a clear golden yellow with a nice foamy head and some lacing. Good carbonation. Aromas of sweet wet straw and malts with slight hops. Taste is a little sweet with a sweet malty and wheaty straw and some hops. Very cool label."

"Bottle from IHB trade fest thanks Paul.
My first Sam Smith's lager...anticipation is maxed.
The pour reveals a liquid that can call itself a proper lager....straw-gold with a frothy white 3 finger cap..good lace.
Aroma is a tad sweeter than I like in a lager but there are ample bready notes and some dry hay.
Malty sweet with light stabs of target bittering, some floral essence here, light fruity notes???...clean finish.
A substantial beer but has too many tastes in it that should not be in a lager...although it is well made and satisfying

"I think the bottle I had was well past it's prime, and the unfortunate thing about SS beers is that due to the clear glass, the term "light struck" is often associated with this beer. It still wasn't a bad drop of beer, but I could see how it would clearly be better. Aroma was very mild, lightly sweet and not much else. Appearance was gold in color, clear with a soft white head (classic lager look). Mouthfeel was really nice, like a soft blanket being pulled over the tongue. Flavors were really soft, with a bit of malt sweetness and little else. A clean finish, I didn't notice the usual "crisp" finish and thought it might have something to do with the yeast. A nice session beer for sure."

"Nice light nose of cloves lemmongrass yeast and cashews. Beautiful meringue head with moderate retention sits over a very pale and clear golden body. Leaves minimal lace. Mouthfeel is very very light, slippery water but with a very nicely done fiz. Its been awhile since I've had a lager but this flavor seems very pale. There is a hint of yeast in the middle and a tiny bit of hops at the end with a slight mineral taste throughout. Goes a bit sour at the end. I also get a hint of corn or some other odd grain flavor. Not terribly off-putting but not worth the money IMHO. I need to go back and read my review of SS organic lager, which I recall liking. I think this is its very poor cousin."

"Pours light gold color with a cloud-like head with excellent lacing. Aroma of hops, and spices. Smooth yet tingly mouthfeel, kind of rich. Tastes awesome for a lager - hops, oranges, and some mustard. Great lager!"
