"330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.0%. Reddish amber colour, slightly hazy, huge and rocky off-white head, lasts "forever". Nice fruity and spicy aroma. Spicy flavour too, notes of oak, some caramel and fruit. Good stuff. By Satan, I think I’ll have another one!"

"I hesitated several times on buying this beer. The label scared me. I was unsure what might happen once I opened up the bottle. After it was open, poured into a glass- and the gates of hell didn't appear before my feet, I tasted this nice belgian ale and enjoyed it until the last sip. Sort of an orangey coloured body. Big head, plenty of sweet floral aroma. Nice beer."

[4] Review by Chopz from Cantley, Canada who has tried this beer once. (7/7/2006 12:27:14 AM)
"Sampled at L'Autre Oeil in Aylmer, Quebec. Poured a clear caramel-red colour with a decent creamy white head that dissipated fast enough and left small lace, in patchy waves. Aromas of mild raisins, grainy malts and some slight unpleasant ones, like rust, wet socks and vegetables. The mouthfeel was slick and medium-bodied. Mild roasted malts and fruits, with decent bitterness and a dry finish. A different kind of red ale and well-made like most Belgian beers, but unfortunetaly, not remarkable enough to have again."

"Bottled. Hazy orange colour, huge longlasting beigishorange creamy head, lacing. Aroma consists of sugar, rye and stinging alcohol. Mouthfeel is soft, due to very low carbonation. Very hoppy and sour flavour. Hayish and harsh alcoholic finish. Sticky palate. Not that interesting beer..."
