Shiner Bock is a distinctive, rich, full-flavored, deep amber-colored beer. Its handcrafted brewing process creates an inviting smooth taste without the excessive bitterness that characterizes many micro, specialty and imported beers.

"Pretty average beer; tastes very similar to Michelob Amber Bock. Pours a dark, mahogany color with little head. Both aroma and taste is of sweet malts. The big problem I have with this beer is the watery taste. If it had a fuller body and mouthfeel, it would rank much higher in my estimation."

"Comes out of the tap a clear, appetizing mahogany, not much head. Aroma is malty with a fruity undertone - apple or pear. Flavor is mainly malty with a hint of fruit and touches of sweetness, hops, and nutty taste. Texture is smooth and fizzy like cola."

"12 fl. oz. bottle, in the Houston tent at the ONS 2008, Stavanger. Brown colour, moderate creamy head. Moderate but pleasant aroma of malts, hints of caramel. Fizzy mouthfeel. The flavour is moderately malty and bready without any offensive sidenotes, but not exciting either."

"In Texas you embrace this beer. Another beer with character. Decent aroma some hops, lots of malt. Thin mouth feel and decent complex flavor, spice and floral hops (light). Like Pat Green, Cross Candian Ragweed, and Willie Nelson--it's a Texas staple."
