The 2007 Anniversary Ale features prominent usage of Cascade hops– the signature hop used in Sierra Nevada’s most popular product, Pale Ale. It is an American Style IPA with a big, fragrant pine and citrus hop aroma balanced by the sweetness of two-row pale and caramel malt. It finishes with an additional Cascade dry-hopping creating a big hop aroma Sierra Nevada fans will look forward to.

"The beer poured a dark brownish red, with a mildly think tan head that dissipated rather quickly. The flavor was of hops, hops, and a few more hops. But with all those hops, it wasn't overly bitter. Quite good."

"2008. Amber body with a very subtle amount of haze; head is off-white that dissipates within a couple of minutes. Little to no lacing. Aroma is pleasantly floral with some hints of pine, but I detect little else. Mouthfeel is decent; smooth but not oily, and not overly carbonated. Tastes hoppy with light malts, with some flowers and pine. A little on the bitter side if you're not into hops, but is pretty much what you would want in an IPA at this price point. It basically tastes pretty similar to Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale with a bit more flowers and malts."

"2008 bottle. Orange color and pours with a thick off-white head. Decent head retention. The aroma is floral and fruity. The flavor consists of some citrus fruits, resinous hops, lemons, and light malt backing. In a taste comparison with their Harvest Ale, this was lighter, a bit more citrusy, with far less malt. "

"2008.
Bottle:
Aroma is richly hoppy, so hoppy that is has a strong evergreen hint. Color is a clear, golden amber with a very thick off-white head that hangs around for a while. Flavor is seriously hoppy but not nastily bitter - not complex, but a delight for any "hop head." There is just a teeny hint of sweetness. It leaves behind a refreshing piny flavor and a fair amount of satisfying bitterness.
On Tap:
Comes out of the tap an appetizing and slightly hazy orangy-brown with a respectable fine-bubbled head. Aroma is spicy and hoppy, has a hint of cloves, not much in the way of malt. Flavor is rich, hoppy and spicy, very pleasing. Texture is lively and edgy. Yep, better from the tap."

"Ah, my first review in over a year :(. I had good expectations from this beer and I wouldn't say I was let down. Had a decent amount of head on the pour. Amber-orange color. No lacing. Very hoppy. I haven't had a hoppy beer in a while so it was a bit of a shock, but a pleasant one! Still pretty easy to drink considering the hopiness, but the bitterness lingers for a long time. Starts a little citrus then turns piney. A bit of malt too. Not bad."
