This beer is our speciality. In 1894 Spaten became the first brewery in Munich to produce this brand of light lager.Flavor profile: Golden in color with a well-balanced hop-flavor. The full rounded body is a superb balance between hops and a malty sweetness. Available as 12 oz. 12-pack, 12 oz. 6-pack, 16.9 oz. single bottle and 50 liter keg.

"I didnt rate this on higher because i am basing my score on the mini-keg version since i tried that last. I dont think i will ever buy any beer from a mini keg again since every single time there is an overwhelming metallic taste. Other than that Spaten pours a mid to dark yellow body, average carbonation, thin white head, not much lace. Flavor of corn and some malts, kinda sweet for a lager. Overall a fairly average beer. "

"Sparkling, rich yellow pour with a foamy, white head. Strong carbonation and solid lacing round out a very nice appearance. Peppery, grainy malt scent, lots of fresh grass and subtle noble hops. Light and soft on the palate. Gentle, creamy finish with a mildly bitter aftertaste. Flavor is in tune with the style. Great balance of spicy, green hops and pale, grassy malts. Quenching and very drinkable, a lager to be thrown back in good fashion. "

"I wish I had tried it out of the tap, but this was seriously one of the best beers I've had in the United States. So crisp and refreshing. A little malty with a slight hoppiness but not too bad. Definitely one of my new favorites."

"Agree with the previous ratings. Much better on tap. Still a good beer out of the bottle, though. Crisp and clear. Flavor is a bit cheap. What's up with the "malt liquor" printed on the label. That cheapens it a bit. Overall, decent."
