This traditional Witbier (Wheat beer) has been developed in cooperation with Master Brewer Pierre Celis, the Godfather of Hoegaarden and Celis White. This beer as well has a second fermentation in the bottle, giving this beer its specific taste (5.5% alcohol content).

"I may have gotten a bad bottle. But this one was a huge disappointment. A golden yellowish colored beer. Big frothy white head has some hang time.. Settles into a nice lacing. Hugh amount of sedimentation. The aroma is lemony. The body is light And the taste is weak, nearly bland. In that was the disappointment.

"This beer was one of the cleanest beers I have ever tasted. It pour a hazy orangish yellow with a creamy head that had staying power. The smell was of wheat and citrus and the taste was more of the same. THis was an excellent beer, but if you have a wheat or yeast allergy be careful this beer is full of it."

"Bottle. Poured in the old "Bollecke" St-Bernardus-glas an unfiltered hazy pale amber colored ale with a one finger white creamy foamy head that had a very long retention. Soft carbonation. Great lacing. The aroma is wheat malt, yeast, aciditic fruits and some sourness. The flavour is yeast, wheat malt, spicy, coriander, fruity, orange, pineapple. The mouthfeel is round and a little bit spritzy. This medium boided beer has a wheaty and sour finish. A very refreshing Wit."

"Presentation: It was poured from a 11.2oz brown bottle into a hexagonal Witbier glass.
Appearance: The body has a yellow tan color and lots of cloudy yeast making it darker than other Witbiers that I have seen. There are lots of little bits of yeast particles floating around inside as well. On top the head is thick and foamy with a creamy off white color. There is also a dusting of light brownish tan yeast on top of the head. This head has good retention and makes some nice slick lacing on the glass.
Smell: The aroma has a full nose filled with wheat, yeast, light grain and some mild hops.
Taste/Mouth: Its flavor has a good wheat malt base with clove and spice notes mixed with some citrus light, fruity/funky yeast (apple and pear notes) and mildly bitter hops. It finishes fairly dry with a touch of spicy hops over yeast notes. The palate is medium bodied with a solid texture and nice soft yet active carbonation.
Notes: This is a very tasty Witbier with a solid texture and deeply hazy appearance.

"My impression of this beer-- Hoegaarden light, hate to say it but, its what i felt on this one. It is a little bit lighter in the mouthfeel, and the aroma and flavors are not as pronounced. Overall it is a really good beer, worthy of trying and i did enjoy it, but for the price i would buy a sixer of Hoegaarden instead."
