• Formerly known as Sebourg beer, this abbey-type beer with 6% alcohol by volume was rebaptized Saint Druon de Sebourg in 2000, as a tribute to Saint Druon and the little church in Sebourg, the next village to Jenlain. Druon, a homeless but pious orphan, wandered the roads until he settled in the village, and is still honoured and revered by pilgrims each year. The brewery is now one of the church benefactors and contributes to the cost of renovating the edifice. About the beer: malted barley and 3 varieties of hops grown in Alsace form the basis of this recipe, which, unlike Duyck's other beers, also contains wheat from the Beauce region of France, milled in the traditional way by Sebourg's miller. And to give it an even more distinctive flavour, the Duyck's use a specific strain of yeast exclusive to the beer.

"Good looks to this french blonde/abbey ale. A 'gold-standard' color and clingy head.... Aroma is leafy with honey. A cute tingly mouthfeel..... Quenching, there are perceptions of fruit, juicy peach, wheat, grassy meadows. A background essence like citrus oils.... The finish has a taste of soapy hops and a sudsy feel, also an odd bitterness"

""Post Noogfest 06 at Hair of the Dog Tavern". The aroma was wheaty with some slight malt with some farmhouse funk and sourness. The appearance was a hazy to cloudy golden yellow with a nice head on top that diminished to bleach white lacing that stuck to the glass. The mouthfeel was nice with some grassy and hay complexity with a very wet palate. The flavor was wheaty, grainy, sour, with some moderate hops coming through which was interesting. Overall, quality beer here with great sessionability; man, by the time I had this brew I was hammered and it was almost 3:00 am in the morning, 37(mostly H.G.)beer samples later. To say the least, this was my last beer in the Noog on Saturday night. "

"The beer pours a beautiful dark gold with a very slight haze. This is topped off by a large, meringue-like head that lasts forever. Slightly spicy yeast aroma and stone fruits like apricot make up much of the aroma. The flavor is fairly malty and lightly sweet. Pretty tasty."

"Hmmmm, this is dull! Aroma is full of wheat and pears. Appearance is very lager-ish. Flavor is flat with a slight wheat taste and similar to a light beer with a slight burn. Its like a lawnmower beer meant for a night of pounding beers with a heavy price tag. Keep moving, nothing to see (or taste) here!
