This is an aggressive beer. You probably won't like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth

"What can I possibly add to other reviews of this beer? It’s fantastic stuff, the kind of beer that converts normal folk into beer geeks. The combination of big citric hops and sweet caramel malt makes a mockery of style guidelines while still feeling utterly natural and refined. The flavor is balanced - big hops, big malt, big flavor. Arrogant Bastard has become a defining beer of the American craft movement and sits as the flagship of one of the best known and most loved craft breweries. All hail Greg Koch. "

"Again , this is a favorite of mine. I am a hop-head. Pour is magic. Nice, creamy off-tan head. About 1 inch that never quite goes away. Aroma ginger snap hops, cinnamon, and sour citrus - passion fruit comes to mind. These all balance amazing well considering the hoppines of the brew. Taste is IPA classic, though it is definately a Strong ale. You get all the layers as you drink. Initial sip is decivingly hoppy, but then it follows with the citrus and spices - rich cinnamon, floral lemon, and sour hopps along with a semi sweetness that holds the blalnce just right. Not too hoppy, not too sweet to try and balance it out. I put this over Dog Fish Head 90 min. the sweetness seems to come from roasted malts. I recommend this highly to any hop-head. No matter how developed your palate is. This will give you a solid example of an expertly crafted ale. Finish is cedar and pine, clean and smooth. Surprisingly easy drinker."

"1 pt. 6 fl. oz. bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.2%. Dark brown to ruby colour, big to moderate light tan head. Nice but surprisingly moderate aroma of floral and fruity hops. "Arrogance" shows its face in the flavour, with a distinct and aggressive hoppy bitterness from start to finish. There is a certain malty sweetness in the background, but I cannot say the Arrogant Bastard belongs in the "well balanced" category. It is probably not meant to belong there. Perhaps I am "not worthy" after all? My wife said she liked it, though. Spooky ... "

"Nose was hops o plenty with some fruit and pine. Pours a nice brownish red with some good head. The carbonation and medium body is very well done and works well with the high hops... Finish is smooth.. Malty and hoppy with some citrus. I wanted to drink this again before I rated it and I am glad I did... a year ago I would of rated it a lot higher... still a good beer... "

"I've gotta say I really liked this one a lot. I tasted a lot of citrus and a nice hoppy presence. I didn't find the alcohol to be too noticeable and there was a nice lingering finish. "
