Ale brewed with bitter chocolate.
Ingredients: Barley, oatmeal, chocolate, hops, water and yeast.
The chocolate for this 12th Anniversary Ale is from Chuao Chocolatier, a very well thought of chocolate maker local to Stone.

"that good stuff. The aroma reflected the flavor...huge in all regards! Loads of dark chocolate flavors, tons of roast and a noticeable sweet oatmeal flavor. Sweetness not overdone and a nice dry mouthfeel. Rich creamy somewhat chalky mouthfeel. I don’t know about the criticism of "harsh". This was less harsh than Ten Fidy. I love both beers!"

"Cask, gravity dispense, at the GBBF 2008. ABV was said to be 9.5%. Pitch black colour, minimal head. Complex roasted aroma with notes of oak, dark chocolate, liquorice and tar. Intense flavour of cocoa / chocolate, figs(?) and coffee(?) - I have some difficulties reading my own handwriting here .... Warming mouthfeel, oaky and alcoholic notes. A great sipping beer."

"I had this beer 4 times before I decided to review it. The reason is I did not hink it was all that. Aroma was not that strong like other impy stouts and there was very little head. Mouthfeel was a bit stingy with too muhc alcahol on my tounge. Flavor was not there for me. It was bitter but I had a hard time finding the other flavors in this. Maybe it will get better with age. I will open one next year. But for now... eh!"

"Sampled from a 22oz bomber poured into a pint glass and a chalice. Midnight black pour with the consistency of used motor oil with a thick, mahogany head that looks sticky and laces beautifully. Aroma is off roasted, earthy malts and sweet mollases with a sharp alcohol finish. Coffee blasts my taste buds at first, as I notice how smooth the beer is. It's almost like a chocolate oatmeal cookie. Bitter, bitter dark chocolate finishes it off. The mouthfeel is smooth and while this is a sipper, the alcohol isn't noticeable."
