A big hello from John, Rachel, Amy and Harvey and staff at Teignworthy Brewery.
Our brewery is based within the maltings. The Maltings buiding is now over 100 years old and is still operating at full capacity. the brewery was established in 1994 by John and Rachel and now employs 4 members of staff as well.
Brewing of ale takes place most days during the week and uses entirely traditional methods. The brewery is based on the "Tower" principle as used in Victorian times. This means that the malt (from Tuckers of course!) is infused with hot liquor to make malt extract, this is in turn boiled with traditional English Hops. The brewery is on display during Tuckers Maltings Tour.
