"I tried this a year or two back and enjoyed it, so I traded for a couple more bottles. Glad I did, I like it even more than I remember. Pours black with a thin dark tan head. Aroma is sweet espresso, light smoke, slight lactose, vanilla and molasses. Flavor starts smooth and sweet, caramel, milk chocolate and vanilla, turns roasty and slightly bitter with tons of espresso and cocoa mixing in with some burnt grass. Smooth as glass mouthfeel, almost slick on the mouthfeel with subtle carbonation. Finishes out smoky with a long aftertaste of coffee. Very nice coffee beer, I dig it."

"Bottle. (from trade with the_epeeist.) Black, and nothing but black, pour, under a nice brown head. Heavily roasted aroma with lots of coffee, bitter chocolate and hops. It also smells a bit dusty. Just wonderful. Coffee is very much present in the flavor as well, with chocolate, smoke-notes, alcohol, roasted malt and some vanilla. Warming, full-bodied beer, quite oily texture, with a dry, chocolate-bitter finish. What a treat! The aroma is something you can enjoy forever, I can still "imagine" it, more than a month after I had the beer. The flavor is a bit weaker, but definately not weak. Just lovely. (070719)"

"Bottle. Poured a black color with a super-thick light-brown head. Light aroma of coffee and maybe some vanilla and hops too. Mouthfeel was okay, although more carbonation than I would have preferred. Flavor is pure coffee with a chocolatey finish to it. A pretty good impy stout, although not one of my favorites."

"I was really liking this beer from start to finish. My 2nd time with Terrapin and the first beer I had was a real disappointment. But this more than made up for it in every way possible. The beer pours out a thick, motor oil black, with a nice beige two-finger thick head. It really was an almost perfect looking beer. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee, vanilla, subtle molasses and chocolate notes too. Mouthfeel is full, thick and chewey. The flavors of this beer seemed to meld completely together, as the roasted malts, coffee, vanilla, and chocolate came together as one. Nothing really stood out stronger than the other and it was fabulous. Little to no noticeable alcohol taste, and mild carbonation made this one to remember. "

"Pitch black colour, brown mediumsized head. Aroma is roasted malts, caramel and dark chocolate. Also lack coffee. Flavour is licorace, coffee, roasted malts and slight hoppy bitternes. Lovely brew. "
