The Duck-Rabbit Brown Ale is an American brown ale brewed with loads of hops from start to finish (it’s hoppy and beautifully bitter). Amarillo hops in the boil provide a spicy citrusy bitterness. Saaz dry hops in the fermentor provide a refined flowery aroma. These hops are supported by a grain bill of seven varieties of malt. Oh yeah!

"The aroma is very malty with sweet overtones with some figs coming through and is earthy-like with maybe some slight bitter. The appearance is a nice, crisp red burgundy to brown in color with not much of a head on top and discipates leaving decent lacing on the glass. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied and of complex maltiness with some good balance with a pallet that is wet-like and coats well. The flavor is very malty with some bitter coming through and is almost bready with an aftertaste that is refreshing and smooth and malty with maybe some bitter hoppiness with a finish that is nice and not too bad and is wet-like and pretty tasty. Overall, this is a nice product from Duck Rabbit and is a solid beer with pretty good drinkability and is tasty but maybe a little too malty for me. "Dark beer specialists"...maybe. "

"Pours a deep brown with a nice tannish head and some lacing. Some carbonation. Aromas of sweet toasted malts, a little molasses, and a surprising kick of hops. Taste is almond-nutty with a slight sweetness then a good dose of hops leaving a slightly bitter dryness. "

"It pours a nice dark brown, barely transparent, with a fairly persistent off-white head. Aroma is rich and rather malty with some hop undertone and hints of spice. Flavor is surprisingly hoppy and fairly but not unpleasantly bitter; there is some maltiness and a touch of spice. Texture is fairly smooth."

"Bottle courtesy of Turdfurgeson: Poured a clear deep brown color ale with a rather large foamy head with good retention. Aroma of deep caramel malt with some light molasses. Taste is also dominated by some sweet caramel malt as well as molasses with some light toffee notes. I also found it to be quite hoppy for the style but it still made enjoyable. Body is quite full with some good carbonation. Pretty good overall if maybe a tad too sweet for my liking."

"Bottle. Poured a clear, purplish brown color with a medium light-brown head. Nice lacing. Decent malty aroma. Fizzy mouthfeel. Flavor is a dark malty flavor with barely a hint of hops. Not one of the better browns I'd had."
