"Sampled from bottle, a gift from caddylac. Pours yellow-gold with a sudsy white head and frothy lacing. Its aroma is quite hoppy (citrus/floral). Slightly sweet. More floral/citric hops in the flavor. Simply put - this wheat beer is all about the hops. Medium-bodied and moderate to heavy carbonation. Likely the best American wheat available. "

"No gum esters/flavor so I'm not sure what the deal is with the name, or the smoking cats riding bikes. Three Floyd's makes great beer - weird labels though. This one is best on draught, but the bottle is ok. Pours cloudy like a wheat, but the hops are slightly overpowering. I appreciate the effort to make a wheat IPA hybrid, it's not bad, just not what you expect (which is maybe what they are going for). Nice creamy head - great retention. Mouth feel was a little thin. Not worth the cost. Not Fantabulous Resplendance. Still good."

"From a bottle. Pours a clear yellow with a thick, fizzy white head. Aroma is lemoney with a slight hop undertone. Flavor is terrific. Great flavor for a wheat beer with a nice bitter back to it. Great beer, can't wait to drink the rest of what I have."

"Pours gold with good clarity and small head. Fresh aroma, lightly wheaty, with giant grapefruit bouquet...the best smelling wheat ever imho. The flavor shines with herbal, floral, and citrus (especially grapefruit again) hopping though there's enough maltiness to (sort of) balance it. Medium bodied and well carbonated. My sample made possible by beerpal's own, caddylac...thanks Andy! I really enjoyed my gumballhead."

"Pours a mildly hazy orange with a fluffy two finger head that fades slowly to a very thin, spotty cap. The thin ring that's left behind leaves quite a bit more lace than I expected.
Smell; mmm....hops, and lots of them for a wheat beer. Pine and citrus smells come floating out of my glass, as well as some mild hints of caramel malts. But where is the wheat in this wheat beer?
Taste; those piney and citric hops are right there in your face, but I like it. The sweet malts definitely make a nice appearance, once you let this warm up a bit. The wheat is more felt than tasted, and lightly at that, which gives this a close to medium bodied mouthfeel. This reminds me more of an APA or IPA than it did of a wheat beer, but despite the lack of any wheat flavors, I still like this offering from Three Floyds. I just wish it felt and tasted more like a wheat beer."
