This award winning doppelbock (8.2% alcohol by volume)
lager is brewed with a generous supply of Munich, carapils,
caramel and chocolate malts and is fermented with Bavarian
lager yeast. The resulting caramel sweetness and rich
mouthfeel are complimented by the mild bittering of German
Hallertau hops.

"Color is a luscious amber. Aroma has strong overtone of burnt caramel. Flavor is malty with smoky undertones. This is a very satisfying and drinkable bock, best sipped and enjoyed by itself so one can better appreciate its merits, rather than put away along with a meal."

"Yes its sweet. I like that. Nice and chewy, fruity and deep. Very coffee and raisin to me. Unfortunately, also very difficult to get yer hands on here in Asheville. The distributors are wonky. Its one of the more Euro style of U.S. Dopplebocks to me. "

"Pours medium brown and cloudy with small, airy head. The aroma is pleasant and balanced. The flavor, however, is well below average quality by style because of minimal and muddled malt character. Light bodied and well carbonated."

"I got this in a variety pack. Pours a Deep, dark, almost redish brown ... almost ruby in color with a well retaing lace. Aroma is of dark fruit and a bit grassy. Tastes sweet little bit of nuts and caramel."
